My DMR E55EB will not recognise any new Blank DVD's or "Blank DVD's" that we recorded on before we had the issue. I get a message of 'No Disc Read'. It will play Pre Recorded DVD's with no issue.

Googling found about half a dozen people with the same issue but no solution. Machine is about two years old.

Any ideas?

There was a typo on your quote for repair. What was the figure and was this to send back to Panasonic?

hi just come off the phone with panasonic re same problem, they say faulty disc drive, common on many panasonics, very poor item, second one like this, have been quoted £00 to fix, more than cost of new machine, will never buy panasonic again, good luck with yours
