How can I fix the water leak on a Whirlpool LA5580XT washing machine?

I have a Whirlpool LA5580XT washing machine that has developed a leak where the water comes out to fill up the washer. When you shut the water supply off, it slowly stops leaking the water. It leaks when the washing machine is NOT working. Ant help would be appreciated.

Most likely a faulty inlet valve - replace it.
