Repair Samsung LCD TV?

I've had my Samsung LE32N73BD for about 2 years and about 6 months ago it started flickering with vertical and diagonal lines obscuring the images.

It doesn't matter which input I'm using but if I change source to one of the channels without any input the flickering stops (i just get the standard blue screen).
The on-screen configuration menus are also free from the flickering lines - if I bring up the menu, this will be the only part of the screen which looks normal.

It's the same via both SCART, HDMI and Component inputs.
Tried disconnecting all the cables and connecting again as well as using cables and devices I know to work with my other LCDs but the issue is definitely the TV.

There's a picture of the TV showing the issue here:

Has anyone seen this before and got any ideas how to fix it?
Thanks

looking at the screen in your photo i am fairly sure that you have a panal fault. sometimes there can be problems with the edge connectors that connect the lcd panal to the main board. at 2 years old it might be worth a call to samsung customer centre in the UK even if the set is not under warranty.

i am a television engineer and see this on th odd occasion.
