One at a time, if you look in the device manager is there an error for the DVD drive?
likely error 31, 39, 33
in which case you need to remove the upper and lower filters, this is usually caused by removing software.
see http://www.capitaltechmd.com/index.php?option=com_agora&task=viewtopic&pid=17#p17 for DVD driver
for SFC scan (system file checker)
insert Windows CD
exit out of the program that comes up
START - RUN
type "sfc /scannow" without the quotes
if it asks for disk 2 click ignore (cancel)
when it ends, it says nothing, just restart the computer and see what happens, good luck
The USB drivers should be inherent on Windows from XP forward, an sfc scan may fix this
