volume on advent 4489 ?

i can no longer control the volume using the Fn keys is there something else i should be doing im not great with technologyl

I have no idea what an advent 4489 is, but here goes nothing.

Try editing the settings for your sound driver; find them under control panel/sound. There may be a selection to use the F keys or not; maybe they got de-activated by accident.
