Okay, lets see what I can do. First, that link leads to a dead end. Nothing there. Second, did you download and install the update that was there? Is that what caused your computer to have this problem, or did you have this problem before installing the update? I need to know if it was the installation of the Printer's driver/software or the update that you installed that caused your computer to go into safe mode.
If it was the update:
-----------------------------------------------
You can remove updates by going to the Add/Remove applet in your Control Panel. Click [Start] and go to "Settings" and click "Control Panel" from here, double click the "Add/Remove Programs" applet. Near the top, click the check box next to "Show Updates" and try to find the newest update that you've installed (I'm guessing that this update was the last one to date that you've installed), the dates will be listed to the right of each program/update. Select the update when you find it and click the "Remove" button. Restart your computer to see if this fixes the problem.
If it was the printer:
--------------------------------------------------
Follow the directions from the previous paragraph to get into the "Add/Remove Programs" applet in the Control Panel. Once open, find any software installed by your printer. I'm not sure what it'll be called, but the manufacturer's name should be with it (ie: HP, Brother, etc.). Click any software installed by the printer's CD and click the remove button that appears beneath it. Clean out all of the software that you can find bearing the printer's name. After finishing this task, you can close out of all opened windows and click [Start]. From the start menu, select "Settings" and click "Printers and Faxes." Find the printer you installed and right click on it and select "Delete" from the menu. Unplug the printer and restart.
Did either of these solutions solve your problem? Let me know and I'll see if I can help further. Feel free to use my email address for responding as this thread will no doubt be buried by new requests for help sometime soon.
