How do I replace beater shaft on kitchenaid stand mixer?

How do I replace the shaft that the beater goes on for kitchenaid stand mixer, model #ksm103. Thanks

I assuming you mean the main drive shaft in the center of the gear assembly. In my model KP50PSBU, there is a pin in the main shaft that must be punched out with a punch or nail set. Once removed, the shaft cover can be removed and you should have access to the screws which will give you access to the gears. In the gear compartment, there is a pin in the upper part of the main shaft which also must be removed. There are also two o-ring which probably have to be removed as well. If your talking about the shaft which the beater attachments move on, there is an lower and upper snap rings that must be removed.
