Hi Steve, E9 is not mentioned as an error code, it is usually part of the test programme. This depends on the age of the appliance.Check there is no water in the lower base with the motor as E9 can be the same as E2.If not, shut the door and let it go into the test programme. When it bleeps, press the P button with a screwdriver blade without opening the door.this happens 2 to 3 times. It will then finish the test prog.Turn off and then on again. If this does not cure it, the pcb has been wiped and a new one will have to be bought and fitted. All the best.
