Washing Powder?

My wife as a Whirlpool machine will insist on putting the powder directly into the drum prior to washing is it alright to do this.Ken.

YEP, less chance of blocking the inlet pipe, this is also why the soap makers give you a dispensing/dosing ball to use be it powder or liquid .
