RCA Faulty Horizontal Driver?

Hi I have a 98' 56" RCA Premiere (#P56930bl) with what I believe to be a faulty Horizontal Driver. Basically when you plug it in nothing happens except for an annoying clicking sound. I narrowed down the clicking to the area exactly where the Driver is.
How do I go about testing this/ and do I need to? I assume it just got old and went out. But I dont want to hunt down one and find out that it was a short or something making the problem. Im still learning and any help is really appreciated!

And where can I buy one if I need too? We have a repair shop near-by but Im sure they would charge alot more to order it through them.
