JVC DR-MV7SU won't play store bought DVD'S?

Use to play both store bought and home made DVD's.
Now won't play anything bought in a store, Will play home made. Message when trying to play ANY store bought DVD's is Cannot find disk. Any suggestions or solutions?

was the machine purchased in england or could the area code have been changed this could explain you problem there are no area codes on home recorded dvds
