How can I access the aerial connection to my car radio?

I suspect faulty aerial connection to my Ford Mondeo radio, but cannot work out how to remove the unit
R Mickleburgh, January 2009
there are 4 holes on the front edge of the unit. 2 on the right and 2 on the left about 20 mm above each other. special radio removal tools can be bought from most car part suppliers. when the tool is inserted the left is pushed to the left and vice versa withe the right. pull the unit towards you and with a bit of luck it should slide out. may need more pulling than you expect but be careful as you may disconnect power/speakers.
