My sky plus box is stuck on standby. I've gone through a few procedures with sky with on luck. I just wonder is there any other procedures that somebody might know.

Hi, the standby button is on and only goes to green for about 5 secs then switches back to red. Can anyone suggest what i can do to sort this.

Hi - And doing the complete overhaul resets everything, updates any new settings and takes the box out of "stuck" standby.... sorry ment to add that!!!!

Hi - you can wipe you sky+ box clean (like Brand New) by taking out the power lead, holding left and right on the front buttons, plug back in and keep holding until the lights all stay on.. Only do this if u don't mind loosing anything saved on ur planner.

take the power lead out the back of the box hold the backup button down on the box while you put the power lead back in keep it held down until all the lights light up on the front and/or a message comes on the screen saying updating system software you can then release the backup button and wait until the download finsihes (this basicly resets the box completly and cures quite alot of faults including stuck in standby although it wont work if its a hardware fault)

Hi - you could try switching all power off, count to 10, switch it on again & wait whilst it "boots" itself up again like a computer.
