PC card blocking menu buttons?

Hi to all,
I've just bought 2007 CR-V w/nav.When I insert Sandisk 6-in-1 w/2Gb sandisk SD all menu buttons go inactive.What Iam doing wrong. Do I have to format the disk before use.
