how do l replace an element in an electric fire?

Look for the screws that fasten the case on - isolate or unplug the fire first of course - then undo the screws, remove the covers and disconnect and remove the element.

Make a note of the make and model of the fire (always important) and find someone to sell you a replacement element. If you have lots of wires to disconnect it often helps to make a sketch or take a digital photograph to help your return journey.

Fit the new element, reassemble the fire and test.
