my toilet wont flush?

the metal hook which attatches to the handle in the cystern that actually pulls the plunger keeps coming off. have tried bending it but now think i have ruined it all together. can i by a new handle and this metal hook?

yes you can buy a new handle. Local DIY place. Big name or not.
BUT do you need one? If handle and the bar inside are ok, and it is just the link down that is wrong, Use some string. It just needs to pull the flap unit up, The water will take it back down, Feed some string or the original wire through the hole at the bottom end, and then through the hole on the bar connected to handle, hold the handle up while you do it, After all you have to press the handle down to flush. Tie the string off, or if the wire, just bend it round, near to the other side of it. I as said, the wire just pulls it up, bend any wire to stop it coming off, but make sure you hold the handle up
