How do you change the light bulb in a H5640 Neff microwave oven ?
Mark Taylor, February 2009
disconnect the power from the microwave before attempting to remove the outer case !!!

This is crazy... Why on earth you have to take the whole thing apart just to change the light bulb instead of providing a little panel inside with a single screw. As usual with Neff it's some unusual bulb you have to pay the earth for but you can get them cheaper on the 'NET. You need to remove the screws on the back and take the whole cover off - and even then you have to gently use a flat bladed screw driver to prise the lid off. Then pull out the bulb holder located on the back by just squeezing the little plastic retainers and it pulls out complete with the holder. The bulb is a very tight fit and does not come out easily.
