Urgent?

My daughter has an E-Machine that had a noisy fan for a bit and now it's not noisy any more, but her computer goes on and shuts right back off. Power Supply??

Open it up and make sure the fans are running when you start the computer.

Looks especially for a Power Supply fan (can see it from the back) and the CPU Fan.

Most computers shut down when they detect fans are slow or stopped (the fact that it was noisy probably means the bearings were worn ou and now the fan is ceased)

I'd suggest she needs to change the CPU unit as i had a similar problem and since i changed mine worked perfectly ever since ;-)
