My LiteOn LVW 5005 is not working properly
1.It is not playing DVDs recorded earlier on it.It gives a message as invalid disc.
2. Recordig is not done. After recording program on this DVD Recorder from Video cassetes it is not showing anything when I click on play in DVD menu of the Recorder through Guider.
3, Recorded program can not be finalized as 'Finalyze' is not highlited and gives a message as 'Change the disc'.
4.Wrong type of of DVD Displaying . Instead of DVD+R it displays DVD+RW.
What must be wrong?
Where can I get it repaired in India near Pune or Mumbai.

It needs a new DVD drive. Certain models of PC DVD Rewriters can be used, but four small 'L' shaped brackets will need to be made to secure the writer in the Liteon.

Replacement drives that worked in Liteon DVD recorder models LVW-5002, LVW-5004, LVW-5005, LVW-5045 etc. (To Replace original Liteon DDW-813S drive) include:

BenQ 1620 (100% compatible).

Liteon SHW-16H5S (No VCD or SVCD record on LVW-5006/5045).
