hotpoint fdw60 dishwaher fault?

my hotpoint fdw60 dishwasher starts but stops after a couple of minutes and 4 and 6 lights flash
any ideas please

Cannot remember for sure but I think that is the water escape error code. Remove the front plinth or if easy enough have a look in the back. Your looking to see if water has got into the bottom of the dishwasher. Tipping it forward will also prove the fault. There is a float valve in the under tray and when water escapes this rises and trips a micro switch. As I say I cannot remember if this is the code - Had the same fault and the lights you mention ring a bell. If no water is present then try the switch to make sure it is not sticking.
