my casio digital camera EX-Z850 has suddenly gone "dead". Between using it one week and picking it up the next I can't turn it on. The battery was charged last time I used it, I've tried another battery and I've tried to recharge the battery just in case that's the problem but the recharger isn't working either.
Any suggestions please?

Sounds like its the charger rather than batteries or camera. Phone camera shop ask if they could check the charger for you. Did you leave the camera switched on ? although most have auto off facility so it's not left on automatic.
