Mitsubishi has Lines?

My 5 yr old 52" has lines that show on the screen - sometimes they go away - escpecially awful when you first turn it on, any ideas? Thanks!

I just had my 50" vs-50607 fixed, turned out to be a 9 volt voltage regulator on the digital board.

It is a 3 pin device that is soldered in the board vertically and mechanically attached to a heatsink.

WARNING! YOU CAN KILL YOU OR YOUR SET IF YOU DONT
KNOW WHAT YOU ARE DOING!!!! PROCEED AT YOUR OWN RISK.

(If you know what you are doing) I would recommend you allow the TV to fully warm up and wait for the lines to dissappear. Then use freeze spray to cool down one part at a time. If the problem comes back when you cool the part, thats the bad part.

The digital board was located on the left side of the set (when looking from the rear). The bad part was almost in the middle of the board.

I paid a repair guy $3 for the part and $397 to know which one to replace.

Next time I will give it a shot myself.

Good luck
