basic user info for my Dishwasher Diplomat ADP8322?

I have acquired a Dishwasher without instructions and dont know anything about it.
(1) what are the control buttons on doortop mean.?
(2) what are the two compartments inside for.?
(3) does salt need to be added sometime ?
Any other usefull tips.

The buttons/lights on the top from left to right are:

On - off - prerinse(cold) - 40o (rapid 30 mins) - 50o (normal 133 mins) - 65o (normal 90 mins) - 70o (intensive 125 mins) - programme select button - start button

The compartments are for the dishwasher tablet (lift up the flap and place inside) and the other one is for rinse aid (pour the rinse aid over the black arrow until the level indicator turns black).

Salt needs to be added before the machine gets used for the first time and topped up when the orange float is no longer visable.

To use, switch on then press the programme select button until you have selected which wash you want then press the start button and shut the door.

Hope this helps.
