I have a 70 series Kenmore washer. (110-82872100) It will not spin. I checked the coupler and it is in perfect condition. When it is in the spin cycle it humes like the motor is working but nothing happen. I unplugged it and noticed that the plug was real real hot. Sometimes it will spin if i put it on another cycle but that is only sometimes. Any other suggestion of what it could be. Also another question. When i turn the washer on cold i don't get any water to the washer. I checked the hoses and they are clear. Any suggestions on that as well.

I have the same problem. Mine will spine but the water doesn't completly drain out of the clothes. Get the timer on it check. These models don't have belts they have cuplers, which works fine. The time to make it spin is shot. My washer is 4 years old and I have to get a new time.
