Floodlight w/photosensor turns on in daytime?

I have a floodlight with motion detector and photosensor that turns on in daylight. The photosensor seems to be unobstructed. Any ideas?

Some have an adjustment for ambient light and others don't. If your does it will be a small control that usually has a moon symbol on it. Failing that, bin it and buy a new one because it is broke.
