how do i open my maytag a412 washer?

my maytag a412 is making a grinding noise at the beginning of the spin cycle and does not pump the water out

Can you get to the outlet pipe? If you can then take the pipe & with a washing up bowl lower the end of the pipe in the bowl, this will drain the machine & enable you to wait for the interlock to disengague & you should be able to open the door.
