Cooker Hood, led lights on, no fan+no spots?

The LED lights on the switch panel are lit, showing power to the cooker hood, when pressed the fan (3 speed cylinder) doesnt work, nor the spotlights (2). I have stripped the hood and found that it is wired straight into the ring main the only form of fusing would appear to be the rcd on the fuse board, indeed the only way I can power down is by tripping the "sockets" feed ?
I am trying to obtain a replacement capacitor, and intend to introduce a fused box to connect, any help or suggestions would be gratefully accepted
