since formatting my drive i have no sound?

i have no sound at all in device manager its showing a conflict for the mulitimedia audio controller (under other devices section) im running windows xp, ive tryed finding drivers but have not been successful i have a soundblaster soundcard, ive tryed turning onboard sound off but that didnt help

you will probably need 2 reinstall the software for your sound card you can do this by using the add new hardware in the control panel and it will search for you in there
the software is probably still on the p.c but is in a hidden folder and needs to be found
if not you will need to go to download.com and search for "sound drivers"
