how to replace fuel line?

my 2150 woodsman poulan chainsaw fuel line is cracked. I pulled it out. it is the fuel pickup line from carb to tank. it goes through a small hole under carb. into tank. looks like it will be hard to get the new line through to the tank. the hole is smaller than the fuel line. please help if there is a trick or hint to fix this problem. thanks frank

Try heating the line in hot water. This will softn the line and allow it to stretch as it goes through the hole. Of course, you'll have to make sure you get all the water out afterwards, but it won't be much.

Frank, try cutting the new fuel line on an angle, the pointed end will be able to push through the small hole with some resistance, it needs to be tight for proper sealing, silicone spray will also help. You may need to reach into the tank with needle-nose pliers and pull enough through and install the filter, good luck.
