sliding panels on conservatory roof?

How can I fix my conservatory roof? one of the panels has started to slide pushing off the bars and fancy bits at the end which are supposed to hold it in place. Unfortunately the company I bought it from have gone out of business and therefore I can't get them back

ideally the pannel needs to be taken out and re situated into position. assuming this is a upvc conservatory the pannel will be clamped down on the left and right hand side.

you need to observe how the plastic clamps clip into the roof bars as to work out how best to remove them. i usually manage by unclipping the fancy bits as you put them lol and slide a long screwdriver inside the roof bar to then lift upwards and lever the clamps free. once they start to come up they pull away easily.

that done, you then reposition the sheet and begin clipping in the clamps. a rubber mallet is good for cracking them back in place.

you may need to get on the roof to reach the back of a lean-to conservatory, if so take no chances as theres a knack to spreading your weight and generally not falling through! if its a geogian or victorian job then chances are you will have nice short roof bars to deal with giving you a better chance of working off a set of steps
