i have a Sony CD/DVD player model DVP-S735D?

It will no longer read any disks. I have not used it that much but found my DVD player reading less and less disks over time.

I think i need to dismantle and clean lenses.

Can anyone advise me on how to do this or shall i bin it.

Thanking you in advance.

i may be able to help you.Dismantle the dvd player by removing the screws located on the side (2 screws on each side) ansd the middle screw on the back.Lift the lid from the back and slide out.You will see a piece of grey metal over the dvd drive.Remove this by the screws which sit on the metal plate. Then using some methlyated spirits(Purple stuff) dip a cotton bud into the meths and in a clockwise motion apply the the bud on the lens.Wait for it to dry (15 secs tops)put it all bk togeather and test.If it still doesnt work then you might as well bin it.You can pick a dvd player up cheaply for £18
