Potterton Suprima keeps cutting out?

We have a Potterton Suprima 40 which keeps cutting out. We have to keep pressing the flashing red reset button and it works again. It goes through stages of doing this, sometimes not for weekes, then several times in one day. Could it be because I cover the radiators with washing sometimes? It's doing it at the moment and I have washing on the rads. Thank you

Quite right PCB's on these boilers featured on BBC Watchdog! The PCB now is a compete upgrade compete with wiring loom and control tray, will take a Qualified guy around 3/4 - 1 hour to do cost approx £195-00 + Fitting & Vat

BUT. Before goinig for this, it is worth checking the working Flow & Return temperatures to make sure the thermistor (£10-00) is OK and that there is adequate flow around system, (11'c Temp rise across Boiler)
I have also found on occasions this fault is caused by an intermittant fault in the Gas control Valve (£150-00)

You should ge a Gas Safe Register Listed Engineer holding CCN1 &CEN1 Qualifications to investigate and repair

I am pleased to say that the current PCB's for these boilers seem to work reliably and to date we have had none fail in about 2 years of use

Its got nothing to do with putting your washing on the rads, these boilers are well are well known for PCB playin up on them and i'm pretty sure the PCB's have been upgraded now
