i have a new ball cock in toilet but it keeps coming of, is it faulty, the plumber said pressure is making it come off, maybe a sege of water, but today it is off again, was going to try and fix it my self
i can see where it fits in, but not sure which way it goes it does not look like other ball cocks..its not a ball more of an holow ovel.

Buy a new pl;astic ballcock - they only cost £1 at B&Q as it sounds more like the plastic threads on this one are over tightened and have stripped. I've never had a ballcock do this in my life so I would suggest it's been overtightened and the threads are knackered.

Ruth, ask plumber man to fit a new Torbeck valve - much simpler, easy to adjust and they come complete with pressure limiting restrictors.

if its a plastic ball and arm , you could try , super glue , to hold it on , if you could turn of the water , and if you could take the arm off , to see it , it might be easy to set it that way the glue should go hard in 2mins ..
