How can I fit a water temperature stat from my tank to my boiler?

I need to have more control of my boiler when it is burning fuel to heat the water, so I was thinking about fitting a temperature stat to the hot water tank to save the boiler burning to much fuel. The boiler is wall mounted Fuel Saver Mk II Series Balanced Flue Glow-Worm.
