Humax PVR-9150T 160GB .
Hi there - I'm hoping someone can help with the above machine.
We turn the recorder off every night before going to bed using the remote control. Next morning it has turned itself on ( this must happen during the night somehow)and is playing in record mode. The remote control will then not operate the recorder in anyway and it seems to be stuck on record eventhough it's not recording anything.
The only way to get the machine to work properly is to switch the machine off at the mains. Then switch it back on by the mains. The machine will then switch itself off automatically. We can the switch on the recorder as normal, using the remote control handset and use the machine.
This happens everyday.

It was working perfectly for about a month (purchased Dec 08) then the above started happening. Then it worked well for a week or two and then the problem re-occured.

Any help solving the problem will be very much appreciated.

Can anybody help me, for months now my Humax PVR-9150T picture has been pixilating due to dodgy transmitter in Peterhead, now things has been sorted and my machine is recording perfectly, but now my machine is not retaining any programs in its recording schedule, neither one or whole series. Please help because I do like my box but it's not much good not. Thanks.

Why does my machine, 9150t only freeze on the same day every week? It runs like clockwork the rest of the time.

Our Humax freezes 3 to 4 times per night, won't populate and won't record overnight. We have done everything advised on the forum - I think we are going to bin it Neighbours have a Humax and have no probs. We have even had a new areial, TV cable and even bought a new TV.

We tried everything, until reading the forums and then tried the take out the arial then retune then put in arial. Then leave in stand by instead of turning off. It has been fine since

I've just got this, set it up turn it on BUT.....
Every time I press any of the button on the remote it always goes to the MENU option, press again it returnns to the previous channel. None of the number keys works nor does the STANDBY button!
Please can anyone please?

I tried all this, then humax replaced unit, still had some of the faults, but now freezes when in use up to three times per evening.I think the best way out is exactly that, OUT of the window into the bin. I drives us mad, but it is supposed to be one of the better machines, could fool me.

To prevent further "freezing", please follow the steps below to try and resolve the problem.

Power OFF the receiver

Disconnect the Aerial cable

Power On the receiver

Press MENU

Select Installation

Enter your password (default = 0000)

Select Default Setting

Select YES

Enter your password (Default = 0000)

When the receiver restarts, power off.

Power on the Box

press ok on stop (when you see automatic search)

‘no channels found’ press ok

‘press ok to search channels’ press ok

select manual search

carefully connect the aerial cable (whilst the box is on )

let the box complete auto scan. Should resolve problem.

if you look in guide book under preferences there is a section headed power on which automaticly enables power up, could be this worth a look !

Hope you are still watching this space. Go to Menu , Installation enter password default is 0000, select Regular Auto Update and click ok to disable this worked for me.
