This is an elderly TopUpTV box with a pretty poor reputation. You may want to consider the present symptoms as God telling you to get shot of it :-)
A common problem on these boxes is the Capacitors failing in the power supply. It would be worth changing them now. Usually you can see the tops are swollen. There are 2 x 1000uf 16v caps that are the problem. If your box doesn't switch on (no lights) this is probably the cause. Be careful holding the powers supply pcb as some of the caps will still hold a charge....they bite!!
