Kenmore 70 series Heavy Duty Washing Machine does not drain?

Model # 110.92273100
I have had my washer well over 10 years or more. First problem I've had. The washer agitates but stops when it is time to drain. I have tried every cycle on the machine. The water just sits there. No noise or anything. I have no idea if this machine is belt driven or not. Is it my pump? If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. I would like to see if I can repair this myself. Thanks.

Hello,

If your washer agitates only and then dies (does nothing) check out that lid switch for sure as it is a common repair. Take the end caps (if you have them) off the console and remove the two screws then flip the console back. The connection for the lid switch is right under the console you can remove wire clip to ohm the switch or you can bypass the switch for a test to see if that is the problem. Hope this helps.

I HAD A WASHER THAT DID THAT ONE TIME AND THE REASON IS THAT I SOCK SOMEHOW FOUND IT WAY DOWN INTO THE DRAIN HOSE OR NEAR THE PUMP DRAIN HOSE.
