TV not turn on?

My Sansui sv2118si does not turn on. i.e the power light shows red, but the picture does not display.

Jvc interiart tv wont turn on.
Red light comes on then tv switches itseslf off.
If i keep pressing vol- and channel+ it will eventually come on after warming up.
Can you help?
