How do I re-tune Toshiba RD-XV47KB for Digital Signal ?

Our region (South West) has today (20/05) switched off analogue TV signal. I have had no problems re-tuning TV's to Digital but can not persuade my Toshiba RD-XV47KB DVD Recorder to find any Digital signals. What am I doing wrong ?

You need to buy a Digital Set-Top book - Freeview boxes don't need a subscription as their name suggets.
Then plug the output SCART from the Set-Top box to the "AV2" input SCART on your appliance. Using your remote, press the programme button to select "AV2" programme mode. You then control the channels using the Set-Top box remote control. In AV2 input mode, your recorder will record whatever the box is showing.
Hope this helps you

The Toshiba doesn't have a freeview tuner built in so you won't be able to pick up any digital channels at all sadly. The only workaround is to run a Freeview box through the scart connector.

BTW What dvds would you recommend for archiving VHS or Hdd recordings? My Datawrite DVD-R x16's are not recognised by it :-(

Thanks
