How can I transfer my home DVD collection onto my IPOD?

Hi,

Just wondered if anyone has any idea how to transfer a DVD to my personal IPOD? When I googled this I got back all kinds of suggestions, many of which instructed me to download all kinds of tools, all of which either didn't work or simply contained viruses, surely there has to be a straightforward way to do this? I have lots of concert movies which I would like to watch/listen to on the go

Cheers

BK

Hi,
you could try using the windows media player and rip the dvd to mp4 format and then let itunes convert it to Apple spec

Thanks NC, I've already downloaded the ITunes application and it works perfectly and imports and transfers music files just fine, but when it comes to importing DVD's it simply won't allow me to do this, I've heard ITunes doesn't allow you to import your DVD's to Itunes as they would prefer it if you bought your movies from them so I'm hoping there's some other way around it!

Hi,
Go to the Apple website www.apple.com and download the "itunes" application and with this you can convert and load your DVD's on to your ipod
