I Have Thomson DTI6300 and want to be able access?

I have aThomson DTI6300 box and have just got a new one. I want to be able to access the hard drive to transfer all my saved programmes over toi the new box via my laptop. Laptop connected to box via usb lead but couldn't find the drivers?

Any suggestions?

Mark,

Dont bother with the lead, TUTV boxes encrypt the data stored on them, you wont be able to transfer it to another machine without breaking the encryption, something that has so far eluded most of us. Also its formatted as a Linux drive so without messing around with extra software you wont be able to read it in windows anyway.

The USB port on the front is not connected to anything but power at the moment although potentially there is the possibility of connecting another hard drive to the machin via this but I wouldnt hold your breath.

Regards,
Graeme.

Maplins sell a lead that has a hard drive connector and a USB so you can connect the hard drive to your laptop USB and it will be detected as an external hard drive and then you will be able to copy the info onto the laptop
