i turn my xbox on the games play fine but there is no sound i have no sound to any thing i cant even listen to my playlists or watch a movie

by the sounds of things mate your useing the component input which are red, green, and blue. you also have to connect the red and white ones aswell it should be a yellow connector to but using the component ports theres no need to connect the yellow
