my son has a technika combi as above and its suddenly lost all freeview channels and wont turn on could i've been in contact with the shop i bought it but they are trying to fob me off saying the guarentee has ran out even though it was purchased in sept has anyone any ideas as how to fix it

there is a button at the side where the dvd player is make sure it is turned on i have had the same problen then i realised the button at the side of the dvd player wasnt on hope you found this useful

the shop that you bought it at was Tesco. Technika is a Tesco Own brand. Additionally, by law that have to have made a record of when you bought the set.

Take it back to Tesco and demand to see the store's General Manager as you have complaint.

Tell him/her that you are disappointed that they won't honour their warranty but if that is th case, then you are returning it under the Sale Of Goods Act.

Under the Act, goods have to be fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. A box that fails in under a year is clearly neither and therefore you want a refund.
