AEG 50750 VI Dishwasher - won't switch on?

Hi

My dishwasher stopped during a wash and now it won't switch on. I've tried the obvious like replacing the fuse in the plug for one that I know works but still no joy.

Does anyone know if there is an internal trip switch or could it be some electronic sensor preventing the machine from being powered on.

The machine is just over 5 years old and I'm prepared to start "investigating" but I thought I'd ask here in case its something obvious.

thanks

I have the same problem but mine won't switch off - the switch is jammed in. Did you find out how to remove the top fascia by any chance?

Terry, June 2009
remove the fascia and trace the supplies on to the control pcb.on/off switch faulty or pcb failure.both possible candidates for this issue.
