VIDEO ISSUES WITH MY HP DV600?

WHEN I BOOT UP MY LAPTOP, THE VIDEO WORKS FINE, BUT AS I GOES THROUGH THE START UP, THE SCREEN QUITS WORKING. I PLUGGED IN ANOTHER MONITOR TO THE LAPTOP, AND THE SAME THING HAPPENS. CAN SOMEONE GIVE ME ADVICE ON FIXING THIS.

Yes I can. I paid £699 for this model and in less than a year, I switched on to find my screen black. After much inconvenience and troubleshooting with my IT engineer, I discovered it was a fault with the Graphics Card on the Motherboard. My IT engineer has reported that he has had 4 returned to him in the last 2 months! Same problem. HP have confirmed that this is common fault with this model. Under current trading laws, they are obligated to repair or replace a faulty product after all they have manufactured a product unfit for the market. However, you will find that they are not very helpful causing you huge inconvenience and loss of time. They will read and re-read their policies to you and expect you to comply with them! My advice ... never buy HP anything again unless you enjoy the South African accent (Their service team are in Capetown!) more advice.... buy Sony - I have never had any problems with any Sony electronics - ever or.... if PC then Asus (2 year warranties and excellent after sales service).

First try to reinstall your Video Driver and then check if not same problem again then try to replace the current driver and then try new one..
