when switched on display flashes,it was fine went away 1wk this happens,also had code f2,had man out checked motor and tacho and says they are fine,says poss mother board,at about £100.00 where is this and is it an easy fix.

Hi if your machine is under 5 years old get Hotpoint to repair it, the labour cost is about £100 and the parts are free, so if it is more than just the module you still only pay the one price, and the repair is covered for a year. The fault code should have read F02. (F2) is a refrigeration thermistor fault.
