very noisy when on spin cycle?

I have a Hotpoint WMT03 1400 Spin washer and when it is on the spin cycle it sounds like there is a hammer or something in there e.g marbles what can it be and is it worth repairing it it expensive?

When on spin cycle, the drum turns at such a rate that anything trapped between the steel drum and it's hard plastic outer cover can cause the item to tumble about like a ball on a roulette wheel.
If something is trapped between the aforementioned space, it can damage the plasic outer casing and/or the steel drum so you need to act soon to avoid any damage. You have three options!!!!
1. If willing to try to remove the item yourself, take the machine outside, place it up, level on blocks to allow you underside access. Once you get underneath, you will see a large plastic casing which contains the washer drum. There are many bolts holding the plastic drum together, so remove as many as you can from the underside of this drum. Once you have enough removed, try gently prying the casing apart slightly and wedge it open with a piece of wood. Pour water into the washer door and hopefully the item will be flushed out. Afterwards ensure all the bolts are secured back in place and clean out the filter.
2. Call an engineer, who will probably charge a considerable amount but you will at least have a diagnosis and resolution without any work on your part.
3. Call at the repair shop and ask for a quote and balance this against a new machine. If you decide the engineer is too expensive and may make a new purchase, at least give option 1 a go first as you have nothing to lose..... Good luck.
