Prestige electric steamer?

My Steamer has packed up and I discovered the fault is due to a small componant in the mains nuetral side. Looks like a capacitor. Rated at 240volt 10amp. What is it for, what is it called, and where can I get another ?
Thanks for any assistance. Phil

if this component was CRIMPED IN POSITION and looks like a small metal canister this is possibly the thermal fuse usually rated for voltage ,current, and temperature

take the old one to maplins .tandys or R.S all of these 3 specialize in electronic components
re crimp new one in position do not solder due to thermal conductivity (heat will travel up the wire melting/blowing the fuse wire,) unless you know how to use a heat sink to conduct excess heat away
