the tv switch itself off?

The tv powered up, tuned in and works perfectly for about 5 - 10 minutes. The screen then seems to switch itself off. If you unplug it and leave it for a short while it can then be turned back on and works perfectly again for a further period. Can someone please help to find problem.Thank you
