computer start up?

when i start my computer some times the following info comes up .and i have to restart it and reset the time and date(performing automatic ide configuration..Primary Master Disk Drive Secondary Master:CD-ROM Device. Time-of-day not set -please run SETUP program. Strike the F1 key to continue, F2 to run the set up) whats wrong ? and what should i do thanks.

Ill expand on what my friend above is saying. The Motherboard on the PC has a battery it uses to keep the Date, Setting etc saved.

Sounds like your battery is dead. Open the side of the case and look for a button Battery somewhere on the Main Board. Its usually about 1cm diameter and easily popped out. Replace it and Set all the usual settings once PC is booting. Should solve the issue
